THE ROAD
MOVEMENT. DISTANCE. CHANGE. WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN.
SOMETIMES I CHANGED PLACES. SOMETIMES THE PLACES CHANGED ME.
A road is not automatically freedom. A new address is not automatically reinvention. But movement can create enough distance to see your own life differently.
Cities, coastlines, mountains, long drives, unfamiliar rooms, people met along the way—sometimes the story is not the destination. It is what becomes visible while moving between one version of life and the next.
AFTER MY FATHER Downtown Los Angeles. Pacific Beach. Oceanside. Movement after loss. READ THE CHAPTER →THE STORY BETWEEN HERE AND THERE.
DISTANCE CAN REVEAL. IT CANNOT DO THE INNER WORK FOR ME.
I have learned that changing the view can be powerful. New places can interrupt old patterns, create possibility, and remind me that my life is larger than one room, one city, or one difficult season.
But the road has limits. I can cross miles without crossing the distance inside myself. Eventually, every journey asks the same question: what am I going to do with the person who arrived?
CHANGE THE VIEW.
THEN PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT CHANGES INSIDE.
